If you’re looking to convert an EPUB or PDF file to an audiobook for playback later, you don’t need KO Reader — there are much better options that won’t put all the stress on your device. Check out abogen or autiobooks for powerful desktop audiobook conversion.

However, if you want totally local playback of articles, chapters, or books on the go, KO Reader might be right for you.

You can try the voices first at Kokoro-TTS on Hugging Face. I usually use the Heart (af_heart) voice for most of my tasks.
